Sleep may have become one big luxury in the supermarket of the Tsars of the Nigeria Football Federation’s factional president, Amaju Pinnick, with the calamity around his secret sponsor paying the salary of his Franco-German white-skinned coach, Gernot Rohr when the said sponsors pulled out of the deal.

Authoritative sources inside the Glass House told www.gongnews.net that, “Rohr signed a two-year contract with the NFF and he is expected to pocket $47,000 every month. The German coach had only received a month salary since he took over in August. He is presently counting with his fingers three months which is not yet paid.

Part of the promises…………to met with the Vive President and feel great>

The NFF President Amaju Pinnick had told the nation that an oil company offered to bankroll the coach’s salary and the two parties had signed an agreement over the deal.

It is worse with staffers of the secretariat who are yet to collect their pay since some nine months ago. To these people, Christmas and New Year certainly are a massive recession.

The federation made a fundamental error when negotiating for the sponsorship firm that was to pay the cocah. The announcement of the coach’s appointment was made public before she (the NFF) was yet to finalise negotiations with the company.

It was much later that sniper sources quoted Pinnick to have said had that Financial Derivatives Limited brokered the deal and the arrangement involved the oil company paying into the account of the consultancy firm which will later remit the money into Rohr’s account. But a source in the federation said the oil company was no longer interested in the deal, principally because of the quality of bad media oozing out from and on the Glass House, moreso, as the parties were yet to agree on grey areas. “The NFF is now the one trying to pay the coach and has been looking for money everywhere to fulfil its financial obligations to Rohr. They have approached Fifa to use the $250,000 development grant to pay the white skinned coach.

They gave the coach some money about a week ago, it was a part payment, it was from the money they got from one of the sponsors and I also heard a few days ago that the coach will be paid from some money they are expecting from FIFA and CAF.”

The NFF buffs had lured the minister, Solomon Dalung, to attend some of their activities both locally and internationally to soften his hard stance against them. The minister was approached and he was quoted to have told the NFF folks that the sports ministry had already told the NFF from the very beginning to forget about bail out over Rohr’s salary.

The ministry source claimed that the minister of sports, Solomon Dalung, was not interested on any issues regarding the payment of Eagles coaches’ salary. “It was part of submission they made recently but the minister told them pointedly he was not interested.

He asked them before they engaged a foreign coach if they had the financial capacity to pay but they insisted on engaging an expatriate. Dalung has told them the Federal Government will not give them a dime for Rohr, and that is where he is standing now,” the source added.
