PMB TO UNFOLD BIG DEEL FOR NIGERIAN YOUTHS

Ministry of Youth and Sports Development will on Tuesday, November 12 introduce the Big Deel package lined up for Nigerian youths in Abuja.

The Deel which is being targeted to move over 100 million Nigerian youths out of poverty in ten years is part of the programmes lined up for the celebration of the African Youth Day in Abuja.

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry Mr. Olusade Adesola told journalists at the weekend that Nigeria will be joining the rest of the continent to celebrate the day and a panel of discussants will be on ground to acquaint the youth with the Deel.

He said African youths particularly Nigerians have blazed the trail in many fields of human endeavours and as such deserve to be celebrated.

“It is a day we should bring to the front burner the peculiarities, usefulness and the achievements of our youths,” he said.

Adesola explained that our youths and not only leaders of tomorrow but are in leadership position.

“It is going to be a month long celebration as a day is not enough to celebrate them. We are joining the rest of Africa to drive and stimulating them to do more,” he added.

Adesola disclosed that a panel of discussion will be on ground to talk on a theme tagged the Big Deel for Nigerian youths.

He said the deel will have lots of benefits towards addressing their needs and move to get 100million youths out of poverty in ten years.

“The goal set by President Muhammadu Buhari is to engage all our youths and make them worthy people in future,” he said.
