South Africa’s head coach, Hugo Broos, has announced the country’s final 25-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, kicking off on December 21 in Morocco. With this announcement, South Africa becomes the first team to unveil their final squad, 20 days before the tournament.
*The Squad*
The team blends experienced players with young talent, aiming to surpass their third-place finish in the 2023 AFCON. Nine players from the bronze-winning team return, including AFCON Goalkeeper of the Tournament Ronwen Williams. Two uncapped 20-year-olds, Shandre Campbell from Club Brugge and Tylon Smith from Queens Park Rangers, have been included in the squad ¹ ².
