Head coach of the National U-17 Team Bankole Olowookere has confirmed that about 31 players are currently training morning and evening ahead of next month’s 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying against the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Flamingos will start their campaign for this year’s finals when they play away to the U-17 girls of DR Congo in Kinshasa on March 6, 2022 while the return leg is expected to take place at the Moshood Abiola Stadium Abuja on March 9.
Speaking to sports journalist in Abuja, head coach of the Nigeria U-17 team Bannkole Olowookere said his girls are responding to training.
Olowookere also believes that the technical crew of the team has what it takes to excel in the tournament.
Our correspondent reports that 2022 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup will take place in India from October 11 to 30.
