The president of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Musa Nimrod on Tuesday in Abuja has urged Fans, stakeholder to come in number to cheer Nigeria Under 17 female Volleyball team for the semi finals match as both teams are expected to square up again on wednesday.
The 2023 Girl’s U17 African Nations Volleyball Championship which started on Saturday, is expected to end on Dec. 8 at the package B of the Moshood Abiola Stadium Abuja.
The Nigeria under 17 female volleyball team played out a 3-1 against Cameroon in their second match on Monday at the ongoing 2023 Girl’s U17 African Nations Volleyball Championship in Abuja.
“The girls should make a befitting and triumphant one by trouncing the Cameroonians.
“it is not yet over and that is why we are urging the Fans out to cheer the girls to victory.
“We have to give the girls maximum support to win with the crowds cheering, I have confidence that the girls will do well in their remaining games,”he said
He said that the three participating countries, Egypt, Cameroon and the host Nigeria have automatically qualified for the world cup in 2024
Nigeria, Egypt and Cameroon are the only countries participating in the tournament after Algeria and Tunisia pulled out due to logistics problems.
