Versatile Islamic Scholar, Shafaudeen To Deliver Oyo SWAN Ramadan Lecture

Muslim Faithfuls as well as Sports Journalists and administrators will on Wednesday converge at the Pacesetter State Capital as the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Oyo State Chapter holds its 4th Ramadan Lecture.

 

The Lecture titled ‘Fasting During Pandemic: The Takeaways’, will be delivered by a renowned Islamic Cleric and Scholar, who is also an Engineer and a Justice of Peace, Professor Sabitu Olagoke Ariyo.

 

A business Mogul Alhaji Abdulwahab Adekunle (Hamex) will be the Chairman of the Day, with Oba Olatunde Oginni from Iloko Ijesa in Osun State being the Royal Father of the Day while a Business Tycoon cum Sports Promoter, Ambassador Romoke Ayinde (Kayrom Lee), who is also the Patroness of Oyo SWAN, will be the Mother of Day.

 

 

Other dignitaries expected to grace the event are the Chairman of Oyo Football Association Oba James Odeniran, the Oyo State Head of Service Alhaja Hamidat Agboola and a frontline Journalist turned Politician, Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan, as Special Guests of Honour.

 

Also, the General Manager of Oyo State Sports Council Mr Gboyega Makinde as well as the General Manager of Shooting Stars Sports Club Alhaji Rasheed Balogun will be Special Guests at the occasion.

 

The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Oyo State Council, Alhaji Ismail Ademola Babalola will be the Chief Host while the Host will be the Chairman Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Oyo State Chapter Mr Abdel-Aziz Adeniyi Alebiosu.

 

This year’s annual Ramadan Lecture of Oyo SWAN, holding at the NUJ Press Centre Iyaganku Ibadan, will be crowned with Iftar (break of Ramadan Fast) by sports writers, courtesy of Alhaji Abdulwahab Adekunle (Hamex)
