We Want To Encourage More Team To Register For Premier League–LOC

Chairman League Organising Committee (LOC),Nigeria Volleyball Federation Monica Ezugwu said League management have decided to offer incentive price to winner if this year premier league.

Ezugwu said this to Journalists after the their technical meeting to commence  the final phase of the Nigeria Volleyball Premier League.

We have decided to give cash award money  to winners of the league in male and female competition.

“This is to help to boost  teams moral and to make the league more competitive than previous one.
“It is just an incentive to encourage more clubs to come and register and the players in practicing  and playing very well.

In the second match UCEM VC to play Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), OFFA VC to face Sunshine Spikers of Akure in the third match .

Our target was to expect the best from the players because most of them want to go for international competitions.
”I believe that this time around is going to be hectic competition and it’s going to be better off.

”We have 16 teams out of 18 teams that features in the final phase of the league, we are expecting the two remaining team to arrive tomorrow.,” she said.
She said that NVBF President, Musa Nimrod, had been the one sponsoring these competitions, adding that they were praying that 2022 competition would be better off.

“One man sponsoring the league  is not an  easy task. So, once we are able to get more sponsors, the league will be more better  for the players, officials and everybody,” she said.

 

The participating teams male team are: NSC, NSCDC, Kano Pillars, NPF, NIS, COAS Spikers OFFA VC,  Sunshine Spikers and UCEM VC.
The female teams are NSCDC, Nigeria Customs Service(NCOS), Kada Emeralds, Benue Queens, COAS Spikers, NIS, NPF
