WEIGHTLIFTING CHAMPIONSHIP: NIGERIA RATED FINISHES ON HIGH NOTE

Nigeria Women Weightlifting team has emerged 4th out of over 40 countries that participated at the 6th International Solidarity Weightlifting Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Olarinoye Adenike Adijat who competed in the 55 kg category has emerged the best female athlete at the just concluded championship the Nigeria lifter who won 3 gold medals has been voted the best athletes during the championship.

A total of 5 weightlifters were part of Nigeria contingent to the championship in Uzbekistan and the athletes will also be attending the African Championships in April to book an Olympic tickets.

The Nigerian contingent will return home on Friday.
