A Benue state Silver medalist at the last National Sports Festival in Benin, Edo state, Priscilla Zever has revealed that her dream is to feature in the Olympics.
Zever who made the revelation in an interview recently, stated that competing against foreign based athletes featured by stated like Edo, Delta and Rivers states the NSF, was not an easy task but because was on her side and with the vigorous training that she subjected herself into, she was able to bask in the euphoria of victory with a Silver medal.

She said the biggest problem she was facing was the lack of a coach in javelin to train her since it was the coach of High Jump, Francis Eze that was always dedicating himself to training her and that there were also no training facilities and equipment available to encourage them in that field.

The Silver medalist informed that her aspirations to go higher than Julius Yago of Kenya would be achieved since she could now throw up to 46 metres and was hoping to reach the target of 80 to 100 metres distance.

Zever who thanked the Benue state government for sponsoring them to the games, and the Director of Sports, Benue State Sports Council, comrade Philip Nongo and the Head of Coaching and Training, Wombo for finding her worthy to represent the state at the NSF, appealed to the government, to provide the necessary facilities and equipment in order to encourage young and aspiring athletes in their various fields.
