Seventeen Nigerian Cricket Coaches have successfully passed the ICC Level 2 Coaching Course held in Nigeria and Namibia.
Among those that were successful in the Coaching Course held in Abuja from 12th to 15th June 2025 included Ademola Adeniyi Onikoyi, Afani Abdulhamid Ali, Agatha Obulor, Salako Azeez Adekunle, Justin Prosper Okere, Oluseye Olympio Ali, Leonard Onome Oghenekevwe, Okechukwu Onwudiwe Jamal, Richard Ikiponmwen Osamudiamen, Offong Edidiong, Okafor Somtochukwu Odinaka, Matthew Aghahowa Efosa and Awobola Yusuf Bolaji.
The candidates that also went through the ICC Level 2 Coaching Course held in Namibia from 7th to 10th September 2025 were all successful. They included Etim Blessing, Sarah Bhakita, Oyede Adeleke Mutiu and Ibodeme Adolphus Theophilus.
The President of Nigeria Cricket Federation, Mr. Uyi Akpata has once more congratulated the ICC Certified Level 2 Cricket Coaches and urged them to continue to strive for excellence.
He praised all the successful candidates for making the nation proud as the development will help increase the profile and quality of Cricket coaches in Nigeria. He urged them to leave no stone unstoned in transferring their knowledge to other grassroot Coaches in a bid to help the Federation achieve the scorecard target of introducing the game to over 250,000 new participants.
