Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) chairman Professor Mahmud Yahub has declared candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu winner of the 2023 Presidential election in Nigeria.
In a keenly contested race, Tinubu edged his closest rivals, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of Labour Party (LP) to emerge victorious.
Tinubu polled a total 8,794,726 votes, while Atiku Abubakar of PDP got 6,984,520 votes. With Labour Party
Peter Obi with a total of 6,101,533 votes while Rabiu Kwankwaso of NNPP recorded 1,496,687 votes. For the 2023 Presidential election held on Saturday the 25th of February.
