By Oluwole Francis

Chairman of the FCT FA League, Barrister Babatunde Akintade Nelson, has said the 2024 FCT FA League Division One is a huge success.

“The League commenced few months ago. About 16 teams participated in the League and today we are having a Super Four finals and whereafter which we intended having two teams that will represent the FCT.

Speaking with newsmen on how the Committee was able to increase the prize money from N200,000 to N500,000 this year, Nelson said, “The objective of the Committee has been achieved at least to about 80 percent. The only thing that I think is the issue of over aged.

“if you watch the League this year, you could see that the Committee really tried by ensuring that the players are below 18 years.

“Being a board member of the NLO and  representing the North  Central, I had promised  FCT that they must ensure that the players that will emerge to represent the nation in FCT will be players that will be screened.”

Sporting Supreme defeated New Dawn FC 2-0  to clinch 2024 FCT FA League.
