The 2025 ITTF-Africa Senior Championships initially scheduled for the BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda, from 12th to 19th October 2025, will now take place at the Salle Omnisport de Radès in Tunis, Tunisia on the same dates.

Decision follows a review by ITTF-Africa, due to unforeseen circumstances that has affected Rwanda’s ability to host the championships as originally planned.

Recognised as Africa’s leading host nation for major competitions, Tunisia has a proven track record of successfully staging international events, including World Table Tennis (WTT) tournaments, Continental Junior and Senior Championships, and most recently, the Africa Cup earlier in February 2025.

ITTF-Africa COO, Dr. Kweku Tandoh, expressed full confidence in Tunisia’s preparedness:

“Tunisia has consistently demonstrated excellence in hosting world-class table tennis competitions, and we are confident that the 2025 ITTF-Africa Senior Championships will be another success”.

As the continent’s largest table tennis event, the ITTF-Africa Senior Championships also serve as a qualifier for the 2026 World Championships in London, England
