Taraba FA Chairman Mohammed Sanusi has said the Super Falcons can surpass the 1999 feat by going far in the ongoing championship if they a adopt a more tactical approach.
He explained that the Super Falcons performance so far is commendable adding that this may be because of tactical approach so far adopted by Coach Randy Waldrum.
“It is important to go into every game with different tactical approach. This what is missing in our grassroots development, the tactical approach were not there at elementary level . We need more of international coaching clinics for some of our coaches.
To go out and learn more approach to games. I think the Super Falcons are doing very well because of their tactical approach of those in charge,” he said.
Sanusi exudes confidence that the Falcons will make Nigeria proud by going into the last 16 in which he said they could spring surprise.
On the list of ministerial nominees released by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu last week he said any of them can be sports minister because it is an administrative thing.
“Any one of them can handle but I believe this time around they should bring someone with sporting experience. he will understands the environment.
“I will suggest the government should appoint a sports administrator into the Executive Council so that sports federations will have a more vibrant personality that understands their problems. A person who knows where to hit the ground running. By doing so, I am sure in no time we shall see results unlike what happened in the past,” he concluded.
