Davnotch National Tennis Championship Is Improving — Sponsor

 

Organizers have expressed satisfaction over the level of participation of tennis players at the just concluded Davnotch National Open Tennis Championship adding that the championship is progressing.

Chief Organizer, who was represented by Mr. Emmanuel Ochei, stated this during the closing ceremony of the 4th edition of Davnotch National Open Tennis Championship that took place over the weekend at the Tennis Court of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Abuja.

Mr. Emmanuel who commended the Nigeria Tennis Federation for hosting a befitting championship added that the objectives of the championship were achieved.

President of the Nigeria Tennis Federation Engineer Ifedayo Akindoju said the partnership between the federation and the organizers is yielding positive results.

“The sponsor just spoke to me today that we are having a continuation in the partnership. We signed a five year partnership deal originally and am sure without mincing words that our sponsor will renew the deal.

David Ekpeyong who won the singles men’s title after defeating Uche Oparaoji 6-2, 1-1 retired was delighted with his performance in the championship.

Aanu Aiyegbusi was crowned champions of women’s singles event after dispatching Mohamed Khadijat 6-4, 6-1 in the final.
