Maiden Edition of Ika 10.5 km road marathon will be one of the best organised marathon according to the organiser
The organiser of the maiden edition of Ika 10.5 Kilometres Road Marathon has promised the winners of the race 2 million naira and over 20 consolation prices to be won.
According to the organiser Stendo Venture, the event which is scheduled for 6th of July from 7 am will attract marathoners from all over Nigeria.
Speaking in a chat with Gongnews.net, One of the organisers Sunday Lucky said the Ika marathon will unearth new breed of marathoners who will rule the world in the future.
Our purpose of staging the road race is to bring about new set of marathoners who will be able to compete at the international level for Nigeria and one of the reason we never involved foreign athletes we want to discover more talents from Delta state and Nigeria he said.
