Chairman of Akwa United Joseph Eno, as tip the Nigeria Super Eagles to the 2025 AFCON. Nations Cup to Excel in Morocco if they play as a team and with with the right motivation he said.
Speaking in Lagos shortly after his team thrashed First Bank of Lagos 1-3 in the NNL week 7 game played at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos on Monday.
According to him, with the young crop of players assembled for the tournament and the right motivation the Nigeria Super Eagles can bring Win the Nations Cup.
“The fact that the Nigeria Super Eagles failed to qualify for the World Cup and this Nations Cup in Morocco they have to bring it home, you see the tools we have at our disposal and I think If they work as a team, with the right motivation I believe they can bring back the Nations Cup to Nigeria” he said.
Nigeria Super Eagles will begin their quest to win the the Nations Cup for the fourth time as the take on the Taifa Stars of Tanzania on the opening game of Group in Fez having previously met 45 years ago when Nigeria hosted and won the Nations Cup by beating the Taifa Stars 3-1 in Lagos.
Nigeria Super Eagles will take on Tunisia on Saturday 27th of December, while it will play its last group game in on Tuesday 30th of December.
