Remo Stars Football Club has been lavishly rewarded for their historic Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title win, ending a 25-year wait for the Southwest region. Club owner Hon. Kunle Soname announced a N25 million cash gift to the players and staff for their remarkable achievement.
The Sky Blue Stars dominated the league, accumulating 71 points from 38 matches with 22 wins, 5 draws, and 11 losses. They remained unbeaten at home and picked up crucial points away from home.
The rewards didn’t stop there.
Remo Stars Ladies received N10 million for finishing top four in their second season.
Beyond Limits, the club’s academy side, got N5 million for winning the Gothia Cup in Sweden.
The Remo Stars Supporters Club was awarded N2 million for their unwavering support.
In a special gesture, midfielder Olamilekan Adedayo was gifted a brand-new car for his outstanding performance during the championship-winning season.
This historic win not only brings pride to the Southwest region but also secures Remo Stars a spot in the 2025/26 CAF Champions League, alongside runners-up Rivers United.
