Plateau State Super League: Finalists Emerge As PSIRS Gives Reasons For Partnering With The PFA

Both Plateau United Under-19 Team and Y-Star FA have qualified to the final of the 2025 Plateau State Super League.

At the semi final matches played yesterday at the New Jos Stadium, Y-Star FA beat Panriang fc 1-0, while the tournament’s favourites, Plateau United Under-19 Team rent apart Relentless Football Academy, beating them 5-1 to qualify to their first ever final of this league.

The two teams automatically qualify to represent the State at Playoff into NLO Division Two Youth League.

Meanwhile, the Plateau State Internal Revenue Service, chaired by Dr. Jim Pam Wayas, has given reasons why they are sponsoring this year’s Plateau State Super League, which will be the first time the State league will be having a sponsor.

Speaking to the press on behalf of the PSIRS Chairman, Mr. Wulashik Lucius Dafaan, who is the Head Corporate Communication Department, PSIRS said:

“PSIRS is excited to partner with the Plateau State Football Association to sponsor the 2025 Plateau State Super League. We  believes in empowering the youths through sports to achieve their potential and success in all their endeavours.”

Wulashik Lucius Dafaan concludes: “What we are doing is in line with Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s grassroots sports development and youth empowerment initiatives in Plateau State. ”

The final of the refurbished Plateau State Super League will be played on Sunday, 27th of July, 2025 at the New Jos Stadium by 2pm and will have the who is who in sports on the Plateau in attendance.
