Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) Chairman, Honourable Taiwo Olayinka Salami, has declared that plan in place to transform 3sc to return to it’s glory day
He made the statement at the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) draw ceremony in Abuja. During the event, the 2025/2026 NPFL season fixtures
Salami stated that his administration’s commitment to player welfare, while the team is also in discussions about medical insurance and improved travel packages and accommodation arrangements.
“In a significant upgrade, the club will travel by air for long-distance away matches, marking a first in the club’s history.
Salami highlighted the need for private sector partnerships, citing the financial realities of football. The club is finalizing major sponsorship deals and expanding its social media presence to increase visibility and commercial partnerships.
As the son of the late Coach Salami, Taiwo acknowledged the enormous expectations and vowed to surpass his father’s legacy, which still resonates 37 years after his passing.
“He urged fans to return in full force, supporting the team as they usher in a “new football philosophy” with the aim of reclaiming the club’s lost glory.
The NPFL season kicks off in September, with Shooting Stars targeting a strong title challenge and a return to continental football
