I Am Overwhelmed By The Large Turnout On The Finals of Gusau and Ahlan Preseason Tournament In Lafia… Galadima

Nasarawa State Football Association chairman Alhaji Usman Salisu Galadima, has revealed how overwhelmed he was hosting the 4th Edition of Gusau and Ahlan Preseason Tournament in Lafia.

The chairman who is fondly called Basira, is grateful for the Governor of the state, Governor Abdullahi Sule for his commitment to sport development in the state.

According to him ” I appreciate the state Governor Engineer Abdullahi Sule for accepting to host the 4th Edition of Gusau and Ahlan Preseason Tournament which is one of the best Preseason in Nigeria and supporting the state FA with all that we requested from His Excellency the Governor.

While he also express his appreciation to the President of Nigeria Football Federation Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, for finding Nasarawa State worthy to host one of the prestigious preseason tournament in the country.

 “I appreciate the NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau, for finding us Worthy to host Gusau Ahlan Preseason Tournament in Nasarawa State”. the FA Chairman said.

Speaking further, the chairman is happy for the large turnout of fans who keep coming from day 1 of the preseason till the final day of the tournament.

“You can see from the beginning of the 4th Edition, you see that everywhere is filled up with fans that is to  show you that our people are football loving people and everyone are excited and I am overwhelmed by the turn out of the people for the games considering what I saw in the finals the stadium was  filled up we have close to 7000 fans coming out to watch the game between Plateau United and Kano Pillars and everyone was commending us for the finals and I thank the fans for coming out to watch the finals”.the Chairman enthused

While he also use the medium to appreciate his other board members for their support so far in making Nasarawa football better. And all other 23 State FA Chairmen who came to Grace the 4th Edition of Gusau and Ahlan Preseason Tournament in Lafia.

“I must also appreciate my colleagues the 23  State FA Chairmen who came to Lafia for the finals to come and support me and Mr President Ibrahim Musa Gusau and his board members for being present at the finals on Friday I am extremely overwhelmed by their presence my brother the Alhaji Galadima Concluded.

It will be recalled that Kano Pillars defeated Plateau United in the finals by 5-3 on penalties after  a goalless draw in regulation time.
