Ladan Bosso Eyes Winning Start As Barau FC Faces Enyimba In NPFL Opener

By Our Reporter

Barau Football Club Technical Adviser, Isah Ladan Bosso, has expressed confidence in securing a positive result in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season opener against Enyimba FC.

Speaking in a pre-match interview with Barau FC Media Director, Ahmad Hamisu Gwale, Bosso shared his excitement and satisfaction ahead of the highly anticipated fixture.

The 2025/26 NPFL season kicked off on Friday, with Barau FC set to host Enyimba FC on Sunday, 24th August 2025, at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, Kano, in matchday one, at 4:00PM.

Bosso expressed optimism about his team’s preparations, the freshness within his youthful squad, and the opportunity to test themselves against the nine-time NPFL champions.

The Maliya Boys, newly promoted to the NPFL this season, are determined to make an early statement, and Bosso insists his young and hungry side can rise to the occasion.

“I am happy because I will see the support and zeal from the people of Kano State. We are here to make a difference, and we will ensure that we sustain the progress already made with Barau FC,” Bosso stated.

“I believe we are ready. The players are in good shape and high spirits. For me, facing Enyimba is not new, but I want to assure our fans that at the end of this match, we will win”,

Bosso further noted that while Enyimba has a more experienced side, Barau FC boasts youthful energy and determination, which he believes can drive them to victory.

“My players are in a very good mood, which is important for me. I believe in positivity, and I have seen that positive energy in my team,” he added.

The clash is set to be a tough encounter for both sides as Barau FC begins its NPFL journey against one of the league’s most experienced clubs.
