Abuja Invitational Volleyball Final: Games Village Battles Offa Club

 

Games Village Volleyball Club on Wednesday Zoomed to the final of 2023 Abuja invitational Volleyball Challenge after beating their counterpart Scorpion  Spiker 3-0 in the 3 set  (25-23) (25-22) and (25-12).

Also, In the second semi-final Game, OFFA Volleyball Club beat the  Defence Spikers 3-1 ( 25-20) (19-25 ) (28-25) (28-26).

Games Village Volleyball Club and OFFA Volleyball Club will now rumble in the final edition of the championship.

They will meet inside the Indoor basketball hall of Moshood Abiola Stadium packed B in Abuja on Thursday evening.

Third place March of the championship will be between Scorpion Spikers and Defence Spikers on Thursday before the final game.

The 12th edition of the tourney put in place by Chairman of Nigeria Park Volleyball Commission, Major General Taritimiye Gagariga provides platform for healthy competition among the 50 participating teams in Male and female categories.

Although some teams are out of the competition still, the tourney has been adjuded as one of the best so far in the history of volleyball basketball competition.

Speaking shortly after the semi final games on Wednesday in Abuja, the sponsor, Maj Gen Gagariga expressed satisfaction on the outcome and turnout, saying the initiative was purely for development of the sport.

He said the joy of the challenge was to see upcoming players showcase their talents for the technical department of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation to identify.
