Former Green Eagles and NEPA FC goalkeeper, Joe Erico has said the Super Eagles have what it takes to beat Sierra Leone in next month’s home and away 2021 Africa Cup of Nations AFCON qualifiers.

Erico a former Super Eagles’assistant coach said although there are fears in some quarters over the fitness level of some regulars he was of the view that the Nigerians will fly over their Leone Stars counterparts in both legs because they do not have the quality players of players to confront the Eagles.

“Some of the players like Wilfred Ndidi and Victor Osihmen suffered some knocks they would be fit for double edge ties,” he said.

He told journalists during a radio programme monitored on Tuesday that Super Eagles’ pedigree is way above that of Sierra Leone and such that he is not scared one bit about the Eagles’ chances in both games as he is already looking forward to six maximum points that will take Nigeria closer to next year’s continental soccer showpiece in Cameroon.

“Eagles nurse no fear playing Sierra Leone, they should just go out and play their game and not underrate them.

“Those two matches they must win. They will win both home and away. That’s what I believe, because there is something we call – ‘Shoe get size’. So, that is why I believe they will win the two matches,” Erico declared:
