The main events of the on going Africa Games Trials in Asaba have commenced with AthIetes in the 100/200 and 400m are already returning good times in the semis to set the stage for the finals tomorrow.
Quarter miler, veteran Patience Okon George in her 400m heat returned 52.06 seconds to lead the pack for tomorrow”s finals.
She was followed by Police woman Ester Okon who returned 53:08 secs and others will fight it out in the finals.
Although, foreign based AthIetes in the event were not in.Asaba, it’s expected that Okon George will latch on their absence to qualify for the Games in Accra Ghana.
