Team Manager of Mighty Jets International Football Club, John Ladan, has picked Cornerflag fc as the surprise package in Match Day 1 of the new AfrisportPro Youth League.

The well travelled and experienced football administrator and match Commissioner of more than a decade told journalists after the 1-1 drawn  between Plateau United Under-19 Team and Cornerflag fc: “if I tell you that am not surprised with the outcome of today’s encounter then  I am lying.

Taking into consideration the pedigree of this Plateau United Under-19 Team, nobody would have ever thought that any team will be able stand between Plateau United Under-19 and wins, maybe except Mighty Jets Youth Team.

The two teams my junior Team Manager, Sammy Adesoji handles; Mighty Jets Under-19 Team who held them to a draw in the N-Youth League and Mighty Jets Feeders team that defeated them at the semi final of the President Federation Cup are the only teams that have stood in front of Plateau United Under-19 Team and victory. But seeing a newly assembled team like Cornerflag fc play with mastery and dexterity like this, then this Cornerflag fc project of a team is a team to watch out for.” He said

John Ladan, who’s one time organizing Secretary/Board Member of Plateau United fc, concludes: “I can say in other way round that am not surprised the way the Cornerflag fc boys gave their all on the pitch of play. Apart from the fact that the boys are well kitted, I gathered that the boys are paid match bonuses. Kudos to the PFA Chairman, Hon. Suleiman Kwande for leading the way on how to get the best in football. I must commend the organizers of this league as well. It is a new dawn indeed to Nigeria Football. ”

The AfrisportPro Youth League continues on Monday and Tuesday next week at the New Jos Stadium.
