AMG Day 3: Nigeria Leads With 15 Medals

The Nigerian Armed Forces have won a total of 15 medals on day one of the wrestling competition at the ongoing African Military Games in Abuja, 2024.

The team secured 5 gold medals in Women’s wrestling, 6 silver medals in Men’s Greco-Roman Wrestling, and 4 bronze medals in Men’s Greco-Roman Wrestling.

The Nigerian team also claimed two gold medals in handball, triumphing over Ghana in the final of both the men’s and women’s events.

In men’s football, however, Nigeria suffered a 1-0 defeat to Cameroon, while Algeria defeated Equatorial Guinea 2-0 in another match.
