Battle Ready: Kwara United Unleashes Fury For The New Season -Jimoh Gbadamosi

Kwara United defender Jimoh Gbadamosi has Revealed that the Afonja Warriors are gearing up for the 2025/2026 season!

In an exclusive interview with gongnew.net, Gbadamosi said the management of Kwara United is doing everything to ensure the team performs better than last season and stands a chance to play in the continent .

“The management of the team (Kwara United) has done the needful for the team to perform better than last season, and we the players are looking forward to a better season than that of last season ,” Gbadamosi said. “We the players know what’s at stake after winning the FA Cup, which gave us the continental ticket . We want to be battle-ready and pray for an injury-free season.”

When asked about winning the FA Cup, the 26-year-old rock defender said he felt very happy winning the most Prestigious trophy in Nigerian football history in front of his family . “The FA Cup is a Prestigious trophy, and it was an honor to win it in my hometown ( Lagos State) . I feel so great lifting the trophy and seeing my family in the stands . It’s every player’s desire to win trophies , but mine was special because my family was in the stadium to see me win.”

Meanwhile, Gbadamosi wishes the CHAN Eagles all the best and hopes they bring the trophy back to Nigeria. “I want to wish the CHAN Eagles all the best, and hopefully, they come back to Nigeria with the trophy . Everybody can’t be selected, but I’m sure the coaches know best . Again, I wish the team all the best . My time will come to represent my country, hopefully, soonest .”

Jimoh Gbadamosi has been doing great! He’s been playing in the NPFL (Nigerian Professional Football League) and has been a key player for his team. Born on January 17, 1999, in Owerri, Gbadamosi primarily plays as a defensive midfielder, but he can also play as a centre-back.

Gbadamosi joined Kwara United on February 15, 2024, and his contract expires this year. Before joining Kwara United, he played for Abia Warriors and Heartland Owerri.
Kwara United will kick start the season at home on 22nd of August 2025.
