CNS Spikers, Nigeria Customs Service Win 2025 CGC Volleyball Premier League

 

CNS Spikers and Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) have emerged back-to-back champions in the men’s and women’s categories of the 2025 Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC) Volleyball Premier League on Saturday, December 13.

In the men’s standings, CNS Spikers finished top of the table with an impressive record of 63 sets won, 18 sets lost, and 60 points, securing first place.

They were closely followed by the Nigeria Customs Service men’s team, which recorded 62 sets won, 18 sets lost, and 57 points to finish second.

The Nigeria Correctional Service claimed third place with 48 sets won, 34 lost, and 41 points, while Kano Pillars placed fourth after recording 47 sets won, 39 lost, and 39 points.

The Nigeria Police Force ended the season in fifth position with 45 sets won, 39 lost, and 37 points, while the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) placed sixth with 42 sets won, 41 lost, and 34 points.

Other teams on the men’s table include COAS Spikers Volleyball Club in seventh place, UCEM VC eighth, Offa VC ninth, Sunshine Spikers tenth, NAF Rockets eleventh, and Kada Kings finishing bottom of the table in 12th position.

In the women’s standings, the Nigeria Customs Service dominated the league, finishing first with 63 sets won, five sets lost, and 63 points.

CNS Spikers followed in second place with 54 sets won, six lost, and 51 points, while COAS Spikers ranked third after recording 52 sets won, 18 lost, and 51 points.

The NSCDC women’s team placed fourth with 53 sets won, 17 lost, and 50 points, while NAF Rockets finished fifth with 43 sets won, 29 lost, and 37 points.

Life Camp Volleyball Club ranked sixth, followed by Kada Emeralds in seventh place and Benue Queens in eighth. Anambra Queens finished ninth, while Olalomi Royal Queens placed 10th.

Wikki Queens ended the league in 11th position with four points, while Delta Queens, who played 11 matches, finished without a point after failing to win a set.

A total of 12 teams competed in the men’s category, while 10 teams featured in the women’s league.

The 2025 Comptroller-General of Customs Volleyball Premier League final phase commenced on December 1 and concluded on December 13 at Package B of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
