Dikko, Olopade Have The Capacity To Transform Nigerian Sports-NTF President

President of the Nigeria Tennis Federation Engineer Ifedayo Akindoju has expressed confidence that Nigerian sports will be great again under the leadership of Mallam Shehu Dikko and Chief Bukola Olopade, Chairman and the Director General of the National Sports Commission respectively.

According to Engineer Ifedayo, the appointment of, Mallam Shehu Dikko and Chief Olopade to lead the country’s sports is a turning point in Nigeria’s sports sector development.

“First of all let me congratulate Mallam Shehu Dikko and my brother Olopade for the well deserved appointment. It is the best thing that is happening to the sector because it is the first time we have round peg in a round hole. It is now that we have sports oriented people managing our sports, so I believe it is a good development”.

“With their years of experience in sports administration and management, I believe their appointment will make a positive impact in Nigeria’s sports sector which will further attract huge investments and jobs creation”.
The Chairman of Dayak Nigeria Limited, Ifedayo, further called on sports lovers and stakeholders to support and pray for Shehu Dikko and Olopade adding that the steps taken so far by the NSC will yield positive results in the near future.

“Mallam Dikko was a former chairman of the League Management Company and Second Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for eight years while Chief Olopade was once a commissioner of Sports in Ogun State which showed that we have the right people to manage our sports”.

“We will get there gradually especially with the current steps they are taking to get things right. They are not magicians that will get instant result, the results will come as time goes on, what they need is support and prayers”.

Mallam Shehu Dikko and Chief Bukola Olopade were appointed by President Bola Tinubu in a recent cabinet reshuffle that saw the scrapping of the Federal Ministry of Sports Development and the rebirth of the National Sports Commission NSC.
