A member of the Fix PDP Group, Abubakar Muktar has taken a swipe at former African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Dumebi Kachikwu, over his recent comments linking former President Goodluck Jonathan and Mr. Peter Obi to political manoeuvres ahead of the 2027 elections.
Muktar, in a strongly worded statement, advised Kachikwu to channel his energy towards resolving the internal crisis that led to his expulsion from the ADC, rather than dragging credible leaders into his personal frustrations.
“Dumebi needs to first solve his ADC expulsion issue before speaking on matters of national politics. He should leave Jonathan and Obi out of his frustrations. The records are clear he contested the 2023 elections and failed. That reality should inspire humility and introspection, not baseless accusations,” Muktar stated.
He further noted that former President Jonathan and Peter Obi have built reputations that should not be tarnished by speculative and divisive rhetoric. According to him, politics should be about offering solutions and building unity, not spreading narratives that deepen mistrust among Nigerians.
Muktar reiterated that the PDP remains committed to issues that unite the country and will not be distracted by individuals seeking relevance through sensational statements.
