El-kanemi Warrior Steal Point Away In Abuja Against EFCC

Area 3 play ground Abuja, hosted hostilities between  EFCC Football Club Abuja and El-kanemi Warriors FC Maiduguri in the NNL game day.

The match which kicked off slightly behind schedule saw the two sides struggling to win dominance in the early minutes of the match. Elkanemi warriors in the that spirit saw its midfielders doing extra work to gain a shooting advantage that was utilize by Bright Etaghara in the 8 minute of the match, when he fired a powerful shot outside box to catch the host goalkeeper unaware  for  warriors first goal.

EFCC  team kept struggling to contain the dominance of the by their visitor, with  inspiring opening twenty minutes to record an equalizer in the same fashion with an outside the box shot that beat Yinka David in his debut for the warriors of Maiduguri.

The two sides ended the first half with one goal apiece.

On resumption for the second half the two sides played with more determination making changes that made the tempo of the match  high for both sides.

The second half saw both teams missing a vital chance with the visiting side having more of such only for M Muktar to convert a corner kick  on target header at the dot of 90 minute.

El-kanemi warriors of Maiduguri won by 1-2 having defended the winning goal throughout the 5 minutes added time given by the Referee from Ilorin.
The Warriors will now focus on its rescheduled week 12 home match against  Mighty Jets FC of jos on Wednesday 13 March 2024 by 3:00pm.

Our attention will now be on our next home match against Zamfara united on 17 March 2024.
