Former Super Eagles midfielder Edema Fuludu doubts Nigeria’s chances of reaching the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final in Morocco, stating “I don’t see this team going all the way to the final”. However, he believes the current squad can prove him wrong if they work hard and receive proper administrative support from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Fuludu, part of the Eagles’ 1994 AFCON-winning team, emphasizes the importance of psychological preparation, urging the NFF to ensure players’ needs are met to avoid affecting their performance. He notes that individual players are tactically strong, but blending them into a cohesive unit will be a challenge.
Fuludu’s comments come as Nigeria prepares for the AFCON 2025 tournament, where they face Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda in Group C. Would you like to know more about Nigeria’s AFCON 2025 squad or their chances in the tournament?
