The Former National Secretary of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), Obong Ikpe Obong says for the former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Victor Attah to live 86 years on earth is no mean feat.
Obong who is the PDP Chieftain in Ibeskpo ward 3 in Ibeskpo Asutan Local Government Area, maintained that the 86th birthday of the Stateman is tremendously remarkable and worthy of giving thanks to God.
He noted with delight the foundation the former Governor laid for the State is such that no successive administration can avoid to build upon it.
According to him, Obong Attah’s performance is the reason the state has been making steady progress over time.
He said, “all successive administrations in the State have so far been doing well courtesy of Obong Attah’s foundation”.
He is expected to give his utmost support to the present administration of Pastor Umo Eno and avail it with his wise counsel particularly, at this moment of national economic and security challenges.
Ikpe Obong further stated that he was impressed that the administration of Pastor Umo Eno has seen the need to carry Obong Attah along.
“As drums are being rolled out to celebrate his 86th birthday, we wish him more years ahead while asking him to continue to hold fast to God that brought him this far”, he concludes
