Hope In Sight For Football In Taraba State

According to report, option for  out-of-court settlement was facilitated by the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice of Taraba State, Barrister Yakubu Maikasuwa, who appealed  for out- of- court settlement during  Tuesday’s hearing of  a suit filed by Victor Ando Andrew and three others before the Federal High court Jalingo.

Barrister Nerus Johnson, speaking on behalf of the Attorney General, expressed satisfaction with the decision of the court, emphasising  that settlement of the case will have a positive impact on   the state’s football administration.

Lead counsel for the complainants, Barrister Isa Buba, also expressed optimism that the settlement will mark the end of the prolonged crisis.

Barrister Shia Elija, counsel for the NFF, while commenting on the out-of-court settlement option granted by the court, said  the proceedings highlighted the significance of the agreement.

Presiding Judge Salim Ibrahim, while granting the request, praised both parties for their willingness to reach a consensus.

He, therefore, fixed October 8 for hearing and urged all parties to comply with the court’s orders and comply with the date fixed by the court.
