The Chairman of the House Committee on Sports, Honourable Kabiru Amadu, has once again reaffirmed the House of Representatives commitment in creating the right environment for the new look National Sports Commission, NSC, to thrive.
The Chairman, who represents Gusau/Tsafe Federal constituency of Zamfara State in the House of Representatives stated this on Monday when he met with the new NSC Chairman Mallam Shehu DIKKO in his office.
The Courtesy visit was part of Mallam Dikko’s Consultation and Stakeholder engagements following his recent appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Head of Nigerian Sports.
According to the Lawmaker the NSC Chairman’s visit was to seek cooperative working relationship between the National Sports Commission and the National Assembly and we have assured him of our total support.
” Mallam DIKKO is an experienced Sports administrator which we all believe have all it takes to uplift the state of our Sports
and on our part as lawmakers, we will ensure that we set the ball rolling by enacting the required legislative template to drive the activation of the Sports Economy in the Country”.
The House Committee Chairman further charged the new NSC Boss to ensure that all the various Sporting Federations in the country feel his impact as he begins to navigate Nigerian Sports into a whole new level of growth and sustainability.
