The Interim Management Committee (IMC) in partnership with GTI Group have donated the total sum of two hundred million naira (200,000,000) to the club owners of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
The sum will see each of the twenty NPFL Clubs receiving N10 Million Naira as start-up subvention.
The NFF president Ibrahim Musa Gusau commending the IMC for a job well done said the time has come for Nigerian football to be run professionally and transparently saying it is by doing so that the league will get the support of all and do things the right way.
He said the next football season will start in August to align with the leagues around the world. Gusau said players must be given the chance to rest and take their chances outside the country.
Akwa United versus Bendel Insurance will herald the curtain raiser of the new league season this weekend(i.e Sunday, 8th January, 2023), in abridged format while other Groups’ games will hold on 15th January of same month across the country.
