While declaring  his intension to contest the NFF presidency in Abuja, Yola said if elected and failed to attract positive development in the football that he would sponsor the motion to pass vote of no confidence on his government.

“Yes. I will sponsor the the motion to pass the vote of no confidence on me should I fail to change the fortune of our football. I believe the same should apply to other contestants – to be given a maximum of two years to attract positive development in our football”, thus declared Alhaji Abba Abdullahi Yola,  as he declared his intension to contest for the NFF presidency.

Speaking further, He said he would ensure the country’s football would be at par with the football developed nations.

Noting that Nigeria’s football have experienced good and tough situations, Yola, who was the senior assistant on technical issues to the former Chairman National Sports Commission, NSC, the late Alhaji Bala Ka’oje and chairman Kano Pillars FC of Kano, said he has the prerequisites to administer football at the national level.

He was however worried that the country’s football administration is still narrowed down to just a secretary general; a situation he promised to expand and the so appointed deputies would have their roles; a development that would reposition the football to global best practices.

He pointed out that deputy secretaries would be appointed to head the various 18 Standing Committees to ensure smooth administration of football. “Having only a deputy secretary for Nigeria’s football would need to be reviewed”. He concluded.
