Lagos Teams Set To Clash As Ardova Handball Premier League 2023 Phase 1 Draws Near

All is now set for the commencement of the Ardova Handball Premier League 2023 phase 1 which will hold in Benin City, Edo State.

The top tier handball league in its 6th season and a new sponsor will see twenty two teams (12 male and 10 female teams respectively) begin in their quest to make history in the league.

The teams will arrive Benin City on Saturday while there will be a technical meeting involving officials and coaches of the teams at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.

Then bright and early on Sunday morning, hostilities will commence at 7am in the women category as new comer, Delta Force will begin life in the Ardova Handball Premier League as they battle experienced Imo Grasshoppers in the very first game of the league while Rima Queens of Sokoto will play Bayelsa Queens.

In other matches in the women category, Seasider Babes of Lagos will slug it out with Defender Babes of the Civil Defense while Bendel Dynamos girls will play host to former champion Plateau Peacocks of Jos.

The final match of the women category on day 1 will see defending champion, Safety Babes begin their defense of the league as they battle Benue Queens.

In the Male category, former champion Niger United will face Confluence Stars while Safety Shooters who were champion in 2020 will play Benue Buffaloes.

Defending champions Kano Pillars will begin their defense of the league as they play Rima Strikers of Sokoto while it is the battle of Lagos as Seasider Boys of Lagos  face city rival Tojemarine Academy

De Defenders of the Civil Defense have a point to prove as they play newly promoted Correction Boys while Bendel Dynamos men who just got promoted to the premier league will play Police Machine.
