Last Season Was More Challenging For Me…. Samuel Chukwueze

By Olayinka Elebute
Nigeria International and Villarreal player Samuel Chukwueze despite his spectacular display at the end of the just concluded season in Spain has revealed his ordeal at the beginning of the season with his team.
According to him some people were wondering what was wrong with Samuel Chukwueze, because most people expected more from me but I must confess to you “it has not been easy I was  not playing well like the way I  started,  but due to injury  I stayed out of football for like 8 months and some people even went ahead to say I am not growing up but most people don’t understand my pains” he said.
Speaking further, “I was struggling to recover but   trying to recover was very difficult,  to get my  confidence back too was not easy, and  getting your physical fitness back it was a little bit difficult when you come back and the coaches and the player playing your position is actually doing well and the coach is  keeping faith with the player and you are on the bench so you can’t get the fitness you required  back it was a little bit difficult for me to gradually get my confidence back and  but gradually gradually when it was time I grabbed the opportunity to play for Villarreal and I am happy at the end of the season. He stated.
The former Diamond Academy football prodigy Samuel Chukwueze, was voted the best African player in the just concluded season in La-Liga for 2022- 2023 season in Spain.
