President of FC One Rocket Rt. Hon. Otuekong Nse Essien, has revealed how he was been inspired by late businessman Chief MKO Abiola growing up and now that he has a football team he has stepped up his dreams of being a better football administrator and politician and he simply get more inspiration from Remo Stars owner Kunle Soname.

What should Akwa Ibomites expect from you team in the FA Cup
Rt. Hon. Otuekong Nse Essien:Good representation, my team will never disappoint the state and we will be playing with the mindset that our people are solidly behind us.

Rt. Hon. Otuekong Nse Essien: We want to go as far as where God will take us to in the Federation Cup, but we know we will go far possibly to the finals we have prepared very well for the Federation Cup and we will give our best to make it happen.
Gongnews.net: Can your team create upset in the federation Cup?
Rt. Hon. Otuekong Nse Essien: It is certain we be an underdog and that’s what will count in our favour, definitely we are not coming to play second fiddle. And remember the Federation cup is all about upsets and we are ready to create them in these year FA Cup just be expecting my team to create one. Just

Rt. Hon. Otuekong Nse Essien:
Our target for these season is the promotion to NPFL, we are going for the NPFL. We are ready to make our mark this season and I know we have all it takes to be there just be ready to see FC One Rocket in the Premier League next season its my dream.
Gongnews.net : Not many know your team, how did you start and what inspires you?
Rt. Hon. Otuekong Nse Essien: I have been involved with football in my youthful years as an amateur and young player in YSFON tournaments in those DAYS, even in my University years at University of Uyo, I became the team manager of school team, we played up to the finals of the then Challenge cup losing by a lone goal we defeated more established teams like Jetimo and most established teams all on the way to the finals we lost to Mobil Pegasus in the final in the state FA Cup.
Just because I so much love the game of football some years later, I founded CARABANA football Academy and also FC One Rocket.
I have always been one who desires to create a platform for young talents to excel in life and in football so I am always looking for a way to make the young talent around me to be better.
And also I have always dreamt of having a professional club like the late MKO Abiola, Emmanuel Inwuanyanwu and today I am looking up to Hon Kunle Soname as a mentor. I want to be like him in terms of creating a platform to make the the talent that is in abundance flourish in my state and I thank God for the journey so far.
Today I am encouraged with my players who are doing well in clubs within and outside Nigeria. Some have been privileged to play for the national teams of Nigeria. We haven’t faired badly and I am more focus to do more because the talent are going places and I must confess to you I am fulfilled with the result so far and I promise to do more for my people, my players and my constituency.
