Maigidansanma Congratulates CGC Adeniyi On election As President Of Nigeria Wrestling Federation

 

Astute sports administrator Mallam Haruna Maigidansanma has congratulated the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi (MFR, PhD), on his election as the President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation (NWF).

The former Secretary of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation expressed confidence that CGC Adeniyi will build on the achievements of the previous board led by Olympic Gold Medalist, Daniel Igali.

Maigidansanma described the Customs Boss as one of the biggest sponsors of sports in Nigeria, commending his long-standing commitment to sports development.

He said, “I want to congratulate the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Adeniyi Bashir Adewale (MFR, PhD), on his election as President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation.

“When he was a board member, he invested heavily in the development of wrestling. He sponsored the first Military and Paramilitary Wrestling Championship, which drew participants from all the Military/Paramilitary Agencies.”

“I strongly believe that the CGC has the capacity to secure proper funding for Nigeria to host International tournaments and training of wrestlers capable of winning medals at the Olympics.”

CGC Adeniyi secured all the 14 votes to emerge as winner in the election held at the Gymnasium Hall, Package B, Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, on Saturday.
