My Goal Against Arsenal Is The Best Goal Of My Career…. Taiwo Awoniyi

Nigeria International and Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi, has rated his goal against Arsenal Football Club in the just concluded season as the best goal of his career.

Awoniyi while speaking with journalist in Lagos  said, ” I think my goal against Arsenal is my best goal of my career, because we know how important we needed the point and at the end it the goal that gave us the  point that brought us out of relegation zone”

Speaking further, For me the goals means a lot to me and my team because if we fail to win the game on that day we will be relegated and I did what I am being paid to do and that is to score,  its just a great moment for me to score an all important goals that ensured we remained in the Premier League”. He said.

He also revealed his love for Arsenal Football Club, I know it really hurt that the goal also counted against Arsenal title chasing feat,  ” I am also an Arsenal fan from childhood but it hurt to score against them when they were close to winning the league after so many years of trying to win the league” he concluded.

Awoniyi emerged Nottingham Forest top scorer for the just concluded season scoring 11 goals in all for the team, he was signed exactly one year ago by the club.
