Nigeria Beat Sierra Leone, Qualify For AFCON

 

The Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated Sierra Leone by 3-2 to qualify for the 2023 Africa cup of Nations to be staged in Ivory coast.

Striker Victor Osimhen scored two goals for the three times AFCON winners,the super Eagles while Leicester forward Kelechi Iheanacho scored the third goal.

Mustapha Bundu and
Augustus Kargbo however scored the two goals for the Sierra Leone team.

Super Eagles have become the twelveth nation to secure passage to AFCON 2023 in Cote D’Ivoire.

With the brace today,Victor Osimhen becomes the highest scoring active Super Eagles player.

Some other African countries that have qualified for the AFCON included south Africa, Zambia, Tunisia, Morocco, Senegal, Egypt among others.
