Nigerian Governors, Ministers, Others To Grace 3rd Agribusiness Roundtable International Conference In Uyo

No fewer than six Governors and three Ministers in Nigeria and other Agricultural and business experts within and outside the country are expected to grace the 3rd Agribusiness Roundtable International Conference in Uyo.

The Chairman of the Central Planning Committee of the International Conference, Mr Howard Usen says arrangements for the successful hosting of the event have been concluded.

Usen who is also the South South Coordinator of NAADI said dignitaries expected to grace the occasion include, the Governor of the Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, the Governor of Katsina State, other South South Governors, Ministers in the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Doris Uzoka-Aneti, Agricultural and Rural Development, Dr Mohammed Mahmood Abubakar, Water Resources, Engr. Joseph Utsev and Niger Delta Affairs, Abubakar Momoh among others

The 3rd edition of the conference is slated for Sunday, 27th October, 2024 -Tuesday, 29th October, 2024 at Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort, Uyo.

He stated that the theme of the conference ” Unlocking Agribusiness Opportunities for Economic Sustainability” and other sub themes will be handled by Agric and Business experts.

The Committee Chairman assured that the conference will expose participants to many business opportunities

He said, ” participants will benefits a lot from the conference because of the quality of resource persons expected”.

The Conference according to him is organised by the South South Zone of the Nigeria Agribusiness and Agro-Industry Development Initiative (NAADI), the Federation of Agricultural Commodity Association of Nigeria (FACAN), the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Abuja in collaboration with the Akwa Ibom State Ministries of Trade and Investment, Agriculture and Rural Development.

He further disclosed that the conference will be panel have discussions and workshop covering topics such as, youth and women involvement in Agribusiness – a panacea for unemployment and poverty alleviation, leveraging the disapora involvement in Agribusiness and Agro-Industry for export to the USA under AGOA and AfCFTA implementation.
Building Resilient Food Systems: Lesson from Indonesia’s Approach to Climate-Smart Agriculture, Promoting Food Security with Climate Resilence and Sustainable Agricultural Practices, Highlighting Akwa Ibom and Nigeria’s Export Potentials

Other topics include, Exploring the Potential of Compressed Natural Gas(CNG) as Alternative Source of Energy Unlocking Agribusiness Opportunities and Economic Sustainability, Adopting Agricultural Technology and Innovation for Economic Sustainability, Sustainable Agricultural Practices for Export Development and Market Penetration and Accessing Sustainable Financing.
