Nigeria Tennis Federation, (NTF) National tennis coach ,Rotimi Akinloye on Sunday confirmed that 16 players invited to camp have resumed in Abuja in preparatory to the forthcoming 13th All African Games taking place in Ghana. next month.
African games are expected to kick off between March 8 to March 24 and will be held in three cities across Ghana , Accra, Kumasi and Cape Coast.
Akinloye disclosed that the camp is opened to foreign based tennis players, and listed some of the foreign based tennis players expected to include; Christopher Bulus, David Ekpeyong, Oyinlomo Quadri, Marylove Edwards and others.
He also expressed confidence that Nigeria will be well represented in Ghana.
“since 2003 when Nigeria hosted the All African games there is no tournament that we did not win any medals. “ We won bronze at the last edition in Morocco in 2019.
“ We are intensifying effort to surpass our achievement in the last edition,” he said.
