Odunayo Adekuoroye wins Nigeria’s medal at World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade

 

Odunayo Adekuoroye, has won Nigeria’s first medal at the 2023 ongoing World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.

The multiple Commonwealth champion won bronze medal in the Women’s 57kg Freestyle Wrestling after beating Elvira Kamaloglu of Turkey 9-5 points on Wednesday.

 

The victory made Adekuoroye 4-time World medalist and become the first Nigerian wrestler to automatically qualify for Paris 2024 Olympic games.
