Director General of the National Sport Commission, Hon. Bukola Olopade, has praised the Ogun State people for coming out to support the Super Falcons of Nigeria as they book the ticket to go and defend their WAFCON title against the Beninoise side on Tuesday. 
Speaking shortly after the game the DG of the Sport Commission said, Ogun State gave the Super Falcons the largest number of fans who came to cheer them up in Abeokuta.
According to him, ‘you can see the largest number of supporters here in the country to support the Super Falcons and I am amazed at the turn out for the people for game in Abeokuta, the people came to support them and the stadium is filled to capacity and you can see how they received the team in large numbers. So I want to thank my people for coming out to support the team and I am happy the results was fair he said.
The Super Falcons played out 1-1 goal piece with Beninoise female team having won the 1st Leg 2-0 in Lome, to book a place in the 2026. WAFCON Tournament In Morocco
Super Falcons are the current champions for WAFCON winning the last edition of the tournament for the 10th times in Morocco in 2025.
