Olotu & Ekuogbe Rowland Foundation Celebrates 6th Anniversary Of Service To Delta State Communities

 

*Otor-Ihwreko, Delta State – December 16, 2024* – The Olotu & Ekuogbe Rowland Foundation marked its 6th anniversary today, celebrating six years of dedicated service to individuals and communities, particularly in Delta State. The event took place at the Otor-Ihwreko community town hall, where community members gathered to honor the foundation’s impactful initiatives.

In his welcome address, Executive Director Hon. Dr. Olotu Otemu Akpodiete (JP) highlighted the foundation’s commitment to improving lives through various programs, including free medical care, scholarships, and youth training in fish farming. He expressed pride in the foundation’s achievements over the past six years and announced a significant milestone: the enrollment of over 120 individuals into the Delta State Contributory Health Insurance Scheme, a move aimed at enhancing healthcare access for vulnerable populations.

The ceremony also featured remarks from Olorogun Dr. Issac Akpoveta, Director General of the Delta State Contributory Health Commission. Dr. Akpoveta commended the foundation for its efforts in enrolling individuals into the health scheme and reiterated the mandate from His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, to support the enrollment of vulnerable community members. He concluded by honoring Dr. Olotu Otemu Akpodiete as a Health Insurance Ambassador (HIA) for his foundation’s contributions to the health sector in Delta State.

In response to the recognition, Dr. Olotu expressed gratitude to the Governor for the honor and emphasized that this acknowledgment would motivate the foundation to continue its transformative work. He also thanked partners and associates for their ongoing moral and financial support.

Amb. Kennedy Ivwromonena Atevure, speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the foundation’s initiatives. He underscored the critical importance of health, stating, “Health is wealth,” and prayed for continued blessings and strength for the foundation in its endeavors.

The event served as a testament to the Olotu & Ekuogbe Rowland Foundation’s unwavering commitment to community service and its ongoing efforts to uplift the lives of Deltans through health and education initiatives.
