Chairman of Akwa-Ibom State Football Association Samuel Umoh, has revealed the association plan for the abundance football talent in the state speaking with Gongnews.net in Lagos the football administrator said.
Looking at our state we have the facilities so we are bless everywhere with standard playing surface all across the state so it’s now our duty to go and engage them and bring them out.
“We have so many good playing pitches scattered all over the state and its left for us to keep it busy with activities and our board will go round the state for those talent and our focus is the grassroot football development and we will do it. he stated.
Samuel Umoh, who just assume duty as the state FA chairman In April 2024 has been part of the board since 2015 and he is capable of the needed turnaround football needs to grow in the state.
Speaking further, “we are also planning to get the coaches engaged with regular training for them so that it will be easier to fish out the talent because we can get the talent without equipping the coaches” Umoh revealed,
